What is Castro Park?

Castro Park is a multi-adventure park located in Castro Urdiales, designed to enjoy outdoor activities with family, friends, as a couple or in a group.

The main activity combines high altitude circuits between trees, bridges, balance games and zip lines. In addition, the park has a terrace-bar, barbecue area, camping area, car parking and space for caravans, motorhomes and campers.

It is a space designed both for those who want to live the adventure experience and for those who prefer to accompany, wait on the terrace or enjoy the surroundings more calmly.

Where is Castro Park?

Castro Park is in the Campijo neighborhood, nº 63, 39700 Castro Urdiales, Cantabria.

What are Castro Park hours?

During school periods, from Monday to Friday we open by reservation.

On weekends, when the park is open, hours are 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

During the holiday period, the hours are from 8:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.

To avoid unnecessary travel, we recommend checking availability or booking before coming.

Is it necessary to reserve?

Yes. We recommend booking in advance to ensure availability, especially on weekends, holidays, celebrations, schools, groups and birthdays.

For birthdays, schools, groups, barbecues, camping or caravans, we recommend contacting before to prepare the reservation well.

Prices, rates and payment methods

How much does the zip lines and circuits activity cost?

The rates for the zip lines and circuits activity are:

  • adults: €22;
  • children: €20;
  • children staying in the camping area: €18;
  • birthdays of more than 10 people: €16 per child;
  • extra meal on birthday: €5 per person.
Are there any discounts for groups?

Yes. Groups of more than 10 people have a discount of €2 per person.

With this discount, the rates are as follows:

  • adults: €20, instead of €22;
  • children: €18, instead of €20.
How much does it cost to book a barbecue?

BBQ reservation costs €10 per barbecue.

To reserve a barbecue a minimum of 6 people is required.

How much does camping with a tent cost?

The shopping area has these rates:

  • adult: €10 per night;
  • extra child: €5 per night.
How much does it cost to stay overnight with a caravan, motorhome or camper?

The overnight rate for a caravan, motorhome or camper is €20 per night for 1 or 2 people.

The extras per person are:

  • extra adult: €6 per night;
  • extra child: €5 per night.
How much does day use of the caravan site cost?

Daytime use of the caravan area, without an overnight stay, costs €10 per caravan.

How much do electricity and water extras cost?

Extras for caravans, motorhomes or campers have these rates:

  • electricity: €4 per day or night;
  • water: €4 per day or per night.
What payment methods do you accept?

We accept payment in cash, by transfer and by card.

Zip lines and circuits activity

What does the main activity include?

The main activity combines high altitude circuits between trees and zip lines. During the tour, different steps, balance games, bridges and zip line sections are performed. The park's large zip lines are also part of the experience.

How long does the activity last?

The approximate duration is almost 2 hours, although it may vary slightly depending on the number of people, the pace of each group and the organization of the day.

Is previous experience necessary?

No. It is not necessary to have done activities of this type before. Before starting, an initial explanation is given and the park team accompanies and supervises the activity.

What requirements are there to participate?

The main reference to be able to carry out the activity is to have a minimum height of 1.05 m and not exceed 110 kg in weight.

If in doubt, especially with small children, we recommend checking with the park first.

What is the minimum age to do the activity?

More than age, the main reference is the minimum height: 1.05 m. There are children of 4 or 5 years old who can participate if they reach that height and meet the safety conditions.

Can minors do the activity alone?

Children under 9 years old must be accompanied by an adult during the activity.

If you cannot be accompanied by an adult, you can consult the option of hiring a monitor, always with prior notice. The price of the monitor is €30.

What clothing and footwear should you wear?

It is best to come with comfortable clothing and closed-toe sports shoes or appropriate footwear to move around the park safely.

If you have long hair, it is advisable to wear it up. We also recommend avoiding loose objects in pockets during the activity.

Do I have to sign any authorization before going up?

Yes. Before carrying out the activity, the corresponding participation forms are filled out.

In what languages ​​is the initial explanation given?

The initial explanation can be given in Spanish and English.

Security, cancellations and bad weather

What happens if the weather is bad?

For safety reasons, the activity is suspended in the event of a thunderstorm. In summer, it can also be paused or canceled if the temperature exceeds 30ºC.

What happens if Castro Park cancels the activity due to a thunderstorm or bad weather?

If Castro Park cancels the activity due to a thunderstorm or weather conditions that prevent it from being carried out safely, the money will be returned or a date change will be offered.

What happens if the client cancels the reservation?

If you do not notify us at least 12 hours in advance, the reservation money will not be refunded.

If a date change is requested within the indicated period, the reservation amount is not lost.

Are there restrictions for people with reduced mobility?

People with mobility problems cannot climb the circuits at height.

In addition, some areas of the park may present access difficulties. We recommend consulting before the visit to evaluate each case.

Are there restrictions for pregnant women or people with injuries?

For safety, we recommend checking with the park first if you have pregnancy, vertigo, recent injuries, back problems, arm or leg injuries, or any condition that may make activity at height difficult.

The activity requires sufficient mobility to move around the circuits, go up and down, maintain balance and follow the instructions of the equipment.

Visitors, companions, groups and pets

Can you come alone, as a couple or as a family?

Yes. Castro Park is designed for individual visits, couples, families and groups.

Can companions who do not do the activity enter?

Yes. The companions can enter the forest area to see the children from below, without going up to the circuits, always with appropriate footwear to move through the terrain.

They can also wait on the terrace-bar or enjoy the designated areas of the park.

Are pets allowed?

Yes. Pets are allowed, as long as they are on a leash.

Do you also work with schools, camps or companies?

Yes. The park is prepared for organized groups, schools, companies, camps and celebrations.

For this type of reservation, it is best to consult in advance to adapt the visit to the number of people, ages, schedules and needs of the group.

Do you have to arrive in advance?

We recommend arriving with some margin to prepare the activity, get equipped and receive the initial explanation without rushing.

If the park has availability and there is no other group just before, it is possible to start the activity earlier.

Terrace, bar and barbecues

Is there a terrace or bar?

Yes. The park has a terrace-bar, a space to have a drink during the visit, rest or wait while other people carry out the activity.

Is there a barbecue area?

Yes. There is a barbecue area with prior reservation.

What are the conditions of use of barbecues?

To use the barbecues it is necessary to make a prior reservation. The reservation costs €10 per barbecue.

A minimum of 6 people is required to reserve a barbecue.

You can bring food, but it is not allowed to bring foreign drinks into the park. All drinks must be purchased at the Castro Park bar.

What are the barbecue hours?

In April, May, June, September and October, barbecue hours are from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.

In July and August there are two shifts:

  • first shift: from 10:00 to 18:00;
  • second shift: from 18:00 to 22:00.
Can food be brought to the barbecue area?

Yes. You can bring food, order it or prepare it in the barbecue area.

What is not allowed is bringing foreign drinks into the park. Drinks must be purchased at the Castro Park bar.

Birthdays and celebrations

Can you celebrate birthdays in Castro Park?

Yes. Birthdays can be celebrated with an adventure activity and an assigned area with tables for snacks.

What are the birthday rates?

For birthdays of more than 10 people, the activity fee is €16 per child.

Extra food on birthdays has an additional cost of €5 per person.

What happens to children under 9 years old on birthdays or groups?

In groups of more than 6-8 children, children under 9 years old must be accompanied by 2 or 3 adults. Those adults don't pay.

What is the activity schedule on birthdays?

There is a morning shift starting at 11:00 and an afternoon shift starting at 16:00.

How is food organized on birthdays?

Food can be managed by the family. It can be taken away, ordered or prepared in the barbecue area.

Do you offer food or snacks for birthdays?

Yes, on request. Extra food on birthdays has an additional cost of €5 per person.

It is advisable to consult it when making the reservation to organize it correctly.

Can drinks be brought to birthdays?

No. All drinks must be purchased at the park bar.

Where do you have snacks on birthdays?

Each group is assigned an area with tables for snacks.

Camping, caravans, motorhomes and parking

Do you have a camping area?

Yes. Castro Park also has a camping area for tents.

What does the camping area include?

The camping area for tents has a rate of €10 per night for adults and €5 per night for extra children.

Includes showers, plot and electricity connection at the enabled points on the terrace and reception.

Can you go with a caravan, motorhome or camper?

Yes. The park has an area for caravans, motorhomes and campers.

What does parking for caravans, motorhomes and campers include?

The overnight stay for a caravan, motorhome or camper costs €20 per night for 1 or 2 people.

The extra adult costs €6 per night and the extra child costs €5 per night.

Day use without overnight stay costs €10 per caravan.

Electricity and water extras cost €4 each, per day or night.

Is there car parking as well as caravan parking?

Yes. Castro Park also has car parking.

Are there toilets and showers?

Yes. Castro Park has bathrooms and showers.

Are there lockers?

No. We currently do not have lockers.
